Sapphire Screens the Light Heavyweight Boxing Championship on November 2
A Great Fight Party for a Great Fight
On Saturday night, November 2, Sapphire is screening the WBO Light Heavyweight Championship fight between Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, so Las Vegas will be packed, the sports books will be jammed and the best Vegas strip clubs will be jumpin’.
This should be a great fight. Canelo Alvarez is widely regarded as the best boxer on the planet right now. His 52-1-2 record is marred by a single loss (to Floyd Mayweather) in 2013.
For this fight, Canelo is moving up to the light heavyweight class for the first time in his career. If he wins, he will have earned himself a boxing championship in four different weight divisions.
Tickets to the event at MGM Grand run from $300 to over $8,000 at StubHub. God knows what the scalpers will charge. The fight will also be shown on DAZN, a subscription service that costs $20/month and allows you to view all of the sporting events they carry. Still, your best bet is to watch the fight in a Vegas strip club, where you can drink, eat and get a gorgeous babe into your lap to snuggle while you’re watching big men beat each other up.
Sapphire has announced a Canello vs Kovalev screening party with two options. The $30 package gets you free limo transport to the club, free admission, a line pass, a reserved VIP seat in the Showroom and the free buffet. You must arrive at the club before 7 pm to get this price. The $45 package is identical, except that you may arrive after 7 pm.
The main event will probably take place after 8:30, but there is a full card of preliminary events that Sapphire will start screening at 5 pm. Other package deals are available through that link for groups and bottle service, or you can reserve the club limo or order any package by calling 702-869-0003.
Sapphire throws a great fight party. First, the club’s 300-seat Showroom is dominated by three huge HD monitors. Smaller monitors wrap around the entire room. The Dolby surround sound system lets you hear and feel the squelch of every punch. The cocktail waitresses and dancers are scrumptious. And Sapphire’s exceptional all-you-can-eat buffet typically features barbecue, pasta, gourmet Mexican from El Dorado Cantina, little Asian hors d-oeuvres, grilled veggies, salads and a groaning dessert table, all served at the proper temperature by a professional catering staff.
After the fights, you exit right into Sapphire’s main room where the lap dance orgy is at no extra charge. As an added attraction, at 11:30 pm, porn star Alexis Monroe will be taking the stage and available for laps in between stage sets.
Order online early as Sapphire’s fight party package deal prices often go up as the event draws near. Simply paying at the door on fight night could cost you quite a bit more, if you can even get in without an advance reservation. Sapphire’s parties often sell out.
