Vegas Non-Essential Businesses (Even Strip Clubs) Closed Until April 16
Last night Nevada governor Steve Sisolak announced that all Nevada casinos were required to cease gaming operations by midnight. He did not look happy saying it. He said he’d reassess in 30 days.
The guv also stated that all other nonessential businesses in the state — specifically bars, restaurants, nightclubs, entertainment venues, spas, hair salons, etc. —”should” cease operations during this time period. That’s not technically a mandate, but everyone but construction crews for the Las Vegas Raiders stadium shut down this morning.
I can tell you that only a day earlier, dancers at some of the best strip clubs in town had voted against closing.
MGM has already announced its casino hotels are taking hotel reservations for June 1 and beyond.
I will keep TVO readers apprised of the situation as it develops, and if any rogue strip clubs decide to reopen, I’ll let you know.
Update: Vegas Strip Club Goes Rogue
First Las Vegas strip club goes rogue! Little Darlings, a Vegas nude club, will be remaining open. More info coming.
