It’s always an exciting event in Las Vegas when a new show opens. A burst of creativity being shared for the first time in public is a high wire act, regardless of the venue, the budget, the ‘star-power’ or the advanced publicity. This week “Kinky Summer Nights: A Fetish Burlesque” opened, and the total sum of ‘FUN’ in town increased noticeably! I can’t quantify fun … but I know it when I have some.

Clockwise from top left; Daisy Ducati, Misstrixx, Vixen and Stella.

Thursday night, June 16th was the debut of “Kinky Summer Nights: A Fetish Burlesque” at Scores on Highland Avenue. The show is from Michael Clark of A List Productions. A List has been a producer of shows and booked talent in Las Vegas since 2004.

The show stars four feature dancers, including AVN Award winner Daisy Ducati, Misstrixx, Stella Cloud and Vixxen. The show is a variety of BDSM centric dances on, and around, the 2-story stripper pole at Leo Mena’s Scores Club. The club underwent a recent remodeling, and this show utilizes their new amenities perfectly. This well conceived production joins the other erotic shows in Las Vegas like “Sexxy” at the Hustler Club , “Touch of Burlesque” at Centerfolds, and the  recent debut of “Rouge” at the Strat.

The show positively surprised me on two levels. When I see the word ‘burlesque,’ I tend to think nostalgia, and retro themed entertainment. When I see illusions to ‘fetish’ and ‘kinky’ I tend to associate them with a dark, violent and creepy vibe. Not that creepy, dark violence doesn’t have a special place in my heart! It’s simply that I don’t associate it with upbeat music, smiles, laughter and high energy dancing. To my happy surprise “Kinky Summer Nights: A Fetish Burlesque” lands their 6-act stage production in a very good place!

The show is modern, sexy, thrilling and loads of fun. With the help of Score’s Hookah offerings, the show actually smells great too!

The center stage became a kinky playground with the dancers wielding leather straps, bondage suits, very high leather ‘pleasers,’ or stripper shoes, paddles, and menacing leers. The crack of the leather in the air, and the slaps to their firm rear ends punctured through the excellent sound system and sexy music.

I had the feeling I was enjoying an evening like Absinthe at Caesars Palace when a male audience member was lead sheepishly onto the stage by Misstrixx. He was seated onto a folding chair that magically comes down from the hole in the ceiling. Dancer Misstrixx taunts and teases the handsome fellow with two cracking cat-o-nine tail whips. He didn’t mind at all!

The next act was what I’ll call ‘blondes have more fun’, Misstrixx, a Fremont Street Experience performer, and Vixen, another Las Vegas local are a stunning duo. The two cleverly engage in the art of Shibari; the highly erotic form of bondage that has been practiced in Japan for centuries. Misstrixx tying up Vixen to the beat of sultry music is a treat for the audience.  If you’re a fan of songs like Rihanna’s “S&M” … you’ll never experience it in a more aligned setting than “A Fetish Burlesque.”

During the main stage action a strong and sensual dancer called Stella Cloud is a captive in a mechanical cage a few steps away. What I thought was a tea cup on here dark hair was a hat Mrs. TVO told me it was a fascinator! Indeed, I found her and her hat fascinating!

A wonderful part of the show is the frequent “rainy seasons” that the show stimulates. Cash is King in a strip club, and “A Fetish Burlesque” is a cash machine. The audience is driven by the dancing action to keep “pouring it up,” or throwing up bills as the well-known Rihanna song reminds us. This show is a cash generating titan. You’ll want to bring your own “Make It Rain” gun to the show. The audience is well advised to bring cash. You’ll want to be part of the show by being a generous stripper tipper.

The only part of the show that I found on the border of “Creepytown” was the well-built young woman sitting near the stage in a ‘hound-dog-head’ mask. Initially, I thought it was the latest bizarre turn in the public mask wearing dynamic. Perhaps she was a Covid-19 fearing lass with a ‘Fauci Fetish.’ “Who am I to judge?” I’ve been conditioned to think! However, the reason for pooch-like masquerade was revealed when the cash bills started to rain down from the tightly packed in customers. Our mysterious canine scampered onto the round stripper stage and fetched the plentiful cash for the dancers. I immediately called her the “Dog Catcher” to myself. This bit of reviewer casting helped my leave ‘Creepytown’ and get back to 100% enjoyment of the skilled performers.

Among the things that impressed were the use of the facility and costumes that were very exciting. For some reason, the dancers had their nipples covered, perhaps for the publicity photos and video that were involved in this first show. The women were beautifully athletic without becoming too androgenous. It was an excellent variety of body types among all of the very attractive dancers.

The beautiful Daisy Ducati invites the appreciative audience to “stick around for the late show.” At the show’s conclusion, the audience finally got a chance to photograph the performers, as well as mingle with them.

It will be interesting to see the mix of clientele that “Kinky Summer Nights: A Fetish Burlesque” attracts. The opening night premier was about three quarters female. It’s very easy to admire the female form with “Fetish Burlesque.” The staging works best in the environment of a strip club because of the access to critical elements like high quality poles, small stages with customers pressed right up front. I hope the show stays in this kind of setting. Scores, with its stage seats, a bar steps away, its unique 2 story firehouse pole, and its nearby outdoor patio is ideal for the performers and the customers.

The show runs about 45 minutes. The production lends itself to new acts, new performers, guest performers and other tweaks to it’s first iteration. I hope that “Kinky Summer Nights: A Fetish Burlesque” becomes a long running strand in the fabric of adult offerings in Las Vegas.

It sets the stage for a fun evening in a strip club, or wherever the Vegas nightlife leads you to after the show.

For the next few previews there are two shows per evening, at 10pm and 11:30pm. Michael Clark has been eager to create a unique show with Daisy Ducati, told TVO that they will be going to a single, longer production after the preview period

Would you suggest this over rouge at strat if I was only gonna do one show? Which is better, seemed like you are high on both of them.

Rouge is much more entertainment. Rouge ranks with the best Cirque shows on the strip.

Kinky Burlesque is a good excuse to go to Scores.

Maybe the 2nd show was not as good as the first show? I found the rope part of the show slow and boring, and I thought Scores was a topless club, saw pasties on every performer? All in all I give it a 5 out of 10
