Up until now, Las Vegas has had a team in the Legends Football League (formerly the Lingerie Football League)–the Las Vegas Sin. If you’re wondering what Lingerie Football is like, think Amazons in bikinis tackling each other on a football field.
But because our team has been playing its home games in Ontario, California, a lot of Las Vegans didn’t even know we had a team.
Some years back, when the league was still called the Lingerie Football League, our team played their home games at the Thomas and Mack Center. But the team lost that venue, moved their home games to California in 2013, and then lost its fan base.
The team now has no games scheduled for the 2016 season. I guess the folks in Ontario just didn’t have any interest in watching girls play football in their underwear. Our team is dead.
