Party at Hustler Club to Honor Larry Flynt’s Life (Updated)

[Note: This event has been postponed. No new date announced yet. — A.S.]

Larry Flynt, the founder of Hustler magazine and the Hustler chain of strip clubs, died of heart failure last Wednesday, February 10, at the age of 78.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor the first amendment champion this coming Friday, February 19, at the Vegas Hustler Club. The event is open to the public. Covid restrictions will be in place, so bring a mask.

The party will feature a performance by Jennifer Romas’ Sexxy After Dark. Sexxy was the production show at the Westgate until it was closed by the pandemic. A revamped version of the show recently moved to the Hustler Club as Sexxy After Dark. This was my favorite production show in Vegas when it was at the Westgate (see my review linked to above), and assuming this crazy pandemic ever ends, I suspect it will return to the Westgate when the town gets back to semi-normal. I haven’t seen the Hustler production, but I would expect it to be worth the price of admission itself.

Doors will open at 7:30 pm, with a spaghetti dinner at 8:30. The Sexxy After Dark show is scheduled to start at 9:30. I can’t find any mention of this event on Hustler’s website. Tickets are reportedly $50. Call the club at (702) 795-3131 for reservations and further information. Full bar, 21+

Shame this got postponed. Would have been a nice sendoff to a pioneer in the industry.

Just tried calling them for more info and to make a reservation, but was told it’s being postponed, with a decision on a new date by Monday.

Benny: According to my most reliable sources, it now appears it won’t be until mid-March to early April, assuming the military follows through. But see Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney’s comments on
