Sapphire Foundation for Prostate Cancer – The 15th Annual Ping Pong Palooza Tournament
On Tuesday evening Sapphire Foundation for Prostate Cancer (SFPC) hosted the world’s largest mixed table tennis tournament, Ping Pong Palooza at Sapphire Las Vegas. Over 30 teams competed and helped raise more than $45,000 to support men with prostate cancer. Ping Pong Palooza is part of the Sapphire Foundation’s ‘Movember’ efforts.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s entertainment columnist extraordinaire John ‘Kats’ Katsilometes served the first honorary ping pong ball as the official Paddle Master and emcee.
Inspired by “Balls of Fury”
In recent years, paddle masters and ball-busting ladies have turned out to compete from an array of popular local and international companies who continue to support this important cause. Originally inspired by Christopher Walken film, Balls of Fury.
Sapphire Dancers on the Team for Prostate Cancer
This year’s included industry pros, philanthropist and fun-seekers to participate in one of Sapphire’s most anticipated events of the year. In addition to bragging rights and trophies, teams had the opportunity to win a Skybox Experience! There were also raffles and awarded prizes for “Best Uniform” and “Best Team Spirit.”
All teams were required to have a minimum of 4 contestants, with at least one female teammate. For teams looking to satisfy the female teammate requirement, Sapphire offered an option to add one of the stunning and flexible Sapphire entertainers to fulfill participating teams’ all-star lineups!
After the winner was crowned, attendees and players celebrated the grand opening of Fatburger Sapphire while enjoying drinks and buffet dining.
Peter Feinstein Started the Foundation in 2003
Peter Feinstein, Managing Partner of Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club, “The World’s Largest Gentlemen’s Club” and prostate cancer survivor, has hosted over a dozen charity golf and poker tournaments in Las Vegas since the creation of the organization. Due to its tremendous success in Las Vegas, the organization brought the fundraiser to the East Coast to continue to raise funds for prostate cancer victims and awareness of this life-threatening disease.
