Open Bar for Saturday’s Fights
Joe Rogan says about mixed martial arts: “It’s about the war, it’s about the chess match, it’s about the intricate moments of battle where you see a guy start to break…”
Snyder says: “And it’s better with a babe in your lap.”
It’s Sonnen vs Silva and Fedor vs Mitrione at Madison Square Garden and on PPV this Saturday, June 24, and Deja Vu Showgirls Vegas will be screening the summer combat spectacular with a four-hour open bar (domestics and wells) from 6 pm to 10 pm. Deja Vu’s great deals on drinks and dances make it one of our top “best Las Vegas strip club” picks.
If you know poker players, Sonnen is a Mike Matusow (Mike the Mouth) type—an American insult champ who tends to render Silva speechless (speechless and angry). In a recent tweet, “Hurricane Sonnen” promised he’ll be raining down punches. “Take shelter,” he advised Silva.
Silva, known as “The Monster from Brazil,” was born on the streets, fought his way out, and tends to fight, as Bleacher Report put it, with a “straight-up berserker rage.”
These are big guys, 205 pounds, but they look tiny compared to heavyweights Fedor and Mitrione at 265. American Matt Mitrione is a former defensive tackle for the NY Giants, while Fedor Emelianenko (“The Emperor”) is known as “the scariest man in Russia.” Fedor is considered by many fans the greatest mixed martial arts fighter of all time.
The card also features rising Irish star James Gallagher.
Out-of-towners can get free admission to the screening at Deja Vu Vegas, plus a free drink for after the open bar is over, simply for arriving by the free club limo. (Note: The fight is $49.95 on PPV.) Call 702-308-4605 (or text SGLV to 702-767-8118) to reserve your ride, or reserve at the club website.
Admission for locals who drive themselves is $10, while admission for guests who arrive by cab, Uber or Lyft is $45.
After the fight is over, you might want to take some of the winnings from your bets and treat yourself to a private bedroom dance with a topless angel. Deja Vu’s private rooms are spacious, elegant, furnished with sofas or beds, and have real doors you can close behind you, all at the same price other clubs charge for the group VIP.
Hustler Club LV will also be screening the fight. Admission for out-of-towners is $50 (or $40 if you arrive by the club limo, includes 2 drinks).
