Suicide Sirens Get New Home at the House of Blues

suicide sirens2My favorite Vegas burlesque troupe, the Suicide Sirens, have found a new home at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay Casino. Their first show, “VarieTease,” is coming up on Wednesday, September 30.

MCd by Miss Karla Joy with stage kitten Kitchsy Kitschy Koo, the performers include Tali De’Mar, Chelsea La Vone, Valerie Stunning,  Jenevieve Zaya – Zanasiotes, Audrey Deluxe, Penny Poison, and Miz Charlam.

I reviewed the Sirens performance at the Brooklyn Bowl in May, so you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect by reading my review that show here. And you can read my review of their show last year at Backstreet Bar & Billiards here.

The Suicide Sirens are unique among the neo-burlesque shows in Vegas, and they’re the only burlesque troupe likely to satisfy a strip club aficionado. Most of the shows labeled “burlesque” in this town (and pretty much everywhere in the U.S.) are not so much “neo” as “retro.”

The Sirens, on the other hand, are taking erotic dance in new directions, experimenting with unusual props and costumes, always striving to be more daring, never falling back on anything tried and true. They’re young, talented, tattooed, pierced, in great shape, and just plain hot.  Plus, they know all the dirty-dancing stripper moves we see in gentlemen’s clubs today.

I go out of my way to show up whenever this troupe is performing.

Tickets for their House of Blues show are available from LiveNation.com. General admission seating is $10.50. Reserved seats $16.50. The doors open at 8 pm. Show at 9 pm.
