UFC 239 Screening Parties in the Vegas Strip Clubs

Jon Jones Is Back in the Cage!

UFC fan favorite Light Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones will be defending his title against challenger Thiago Santos in UFC 239 on July 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Between this fight and 4th of July weekend, Vegas will be jumpin’.

MMA fans are rejoicing that the legendary Jon Jones is once more taking on all challengers. Jones’ 24-1 MMA record is marred by a single disqualification in a 2009 fight for illegal use of an elbow. Many of his fans feel that the ref in that fight made a bad decision, and Jones’ record should be 25-0.

In recent years he’s had other difficulties, including being banned from the UFC in 2015 for a full year because of a felony hit-and-run conviction. In 2016, he was disqualified from UFC 200 for failing a drug test ten days prior to the fight. In 2017, he demolished Daniel Cormier in UFC 214 to regain his Light Heavyweight title, but he was disqualified again and stripped of the title for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.

Since then, Jones has regained the Light Heavyweight title. Technically, Jones has never been beaten in the cage. He holds many UFC records, including the most title defenses.  Jones is a constantly evolving fighter who has been called the greatest martial artist ever to set foot in the Octagon.

Brazilian Thiago Santos has a 21-6 record, fighting mostly as a middleweight. He has not lost a fight since moving up to the light heavyweight division, and has won by KO all three times. He is respected for his sheer violence.

The Vegas sports books are making Jones the favorite (at -600 vs Santos at +450), and these odds have not changed in the past few weeks.
