A Locals’ Joint with Video Poker
Play It Again Sam is a locals’ joint with decent video poker. I don’t quite get the Bogart theme, but then again … Why not?
This club has a pretty big stage and while the lighting is dim, it’s not bad. The dancers definitely respond to tips while they’re on stage.
This is another place for men who prefer plumper women, but you occasionally see high-end dancers who like the more relaxed non-hustle atmosphere. In fact, I’ve rarely been in here when I didn’t find one or two dancers who could probably work in any club in Vegas.
Te bartenders are smart and attentive. Locals are free admission.
The club offers 25¢ bartop video poker machines and video poker players drink for free.

Last time I was at Sam’s, a couple months ago, I was told there were new rules in place about touching during lapdances. The rules being, you can’t do that, and the dancer has to keep a leg on the ground so she’s not allowed to straddle you or anything. If you do go in give Kitty a chance, she’s always friendly.
I’ve seen and heard the same thing. The bouncer or DJ keeps walking by the booths to keep things low mileage. He’s like a chaperone at an 8th grade dance! The girls hate it. Other terrific dancers there are Jewelz, Katrina and Nidar. High mileage specialists!
Is this place back, open? Any changes due to a Covid?
JDD: Play It Again Sam has reopened, though I’m not sure of what’s happening there. They haven’t updated their website of Facebook, re: current hours, etc. But they are advertising dancers and video poker.
Any update on this place? Thanks Arnold!
Napf525: Play It Again Sam has always been mostly a locals place. The club is up and running again similar to what it was before.
JDD: Operating as normal. I happen to be a big fan of the dancers and the bartenders. Poker gives you a great excuse to say “no dance now honey … I’m on a heater!”
Air Conditioning works great.
I haven’t been but I was told that there are currently no lapdances and the dancers on stage do not take their clothes off.
Jay, stage shows have strict requirements under our Soviet governor’s reopening orders. Nevada is not part of America right now. It’s a Soviet gulag.
But men who love strip clubs will still love the VIP or private booths or bedrooms. And the girls will still come and flirt with you at your table.
How bad is the video poker (odd-wise)?
Rob, I don’t remember the video poker pay tables, but I can tell you I went there with Anthony Curtis and after looking at the pay tables, he neither played nor went back.
Thanks. Do you know if Club Platinum is better? I like to play VP in between all the other fun.
I’ll have to check for you on my next run around town, Rob, some time in June. Or, if you get there first, let me know.
Went on Wednesday January 4 at 8pm. Seven dancers but only one worth more than a 7 out of 10. A couple of flat chested Filipinos and two more overweight girls. Probably the last time we’ll go there. Can’t beat Palomino and Saphire for the eye candy and hands on lap dances.
Not too happening at 8:30 on a Wednesday night. Dancers performed, but only sporadically. I’d give it a 2.5 on a 10-scale, unless you’re playing video poker, then it jumps to about a 6. This is one of the few clubs in town with video poker machines and you can get drinks comped. The best game is 7/5 Bonus Poker, which is a notch better than most bar games and there’s a good beer selection, including Heineken, Stella, Becks, Blue Moon, Modelo, and Newcastle. If you’re paying retail, starting price for Bud is up 50-cents to $6.50, and all domestics are $4 from 7 am to 7 pm.
